Love Notes :: 16

I love you because you're my future
My present and part of my past
My world has been turning so quickly
And time just keeps moving so fast!

I love you because you have something
No ordinary person could give
Warmth that I'll cling onto forever
Hold onto as long as I live.

I love you because your devotion
Is tender and wonderfully rare;
And no one could ever imagine
The magical moments we share.

I love you because you are truthful
Your eyes hold a key to my heart
I know that you share my commitment
And we know that we never shall part.

I love you because you are wonderful
And you give to me all that I need
A hug when I seek reassurance
And a smile when we've disagreed.

I love you because... I just love you
For too many reasons to say
And I'll always be right here beside you
A breath and a heartbeat away.

I love you because Anon

Top Ten Tips :: 5 - Respondez s'il vous plait...

Believe it or not some of your guests may forget to write their names on your rsvp cards! So how do you know who has replied? I suggest writing a small number on the back of your rsvp which corresponds to your guest list, or you can go for the personalised option.

I have seen dawn and sunset on moors and windy hills
Coming in solemn beauty like slow old tunes of Spain:
I have seen the lady April bringing in the daffodils,
Bringing the springing grass and the soft warm April rain.

I have heard the song of the blossoms and the old chant of the sea,
And seen strange lands from under the arched white sails of ships;
But the loveliest things of beauty God ever has showed to me
Are her voice, and her hair, and eyes, and the dear red curve of her lips.

Would you like a little more tea?...

Alice: Well, I haven't had any yet, so I can't very well take more.
March Hare: Ah, you mean you can't very well take less.
Mad Hatter: Yes. You can always take more than nothing.

I am working on some Alice in Wonderland themed stationery for a photo shoot that is taking place on Friday organised by Sarah of Sarah Vivienne Photography. When I start a new project more often than not I will put a mood board together to make sure all of my ideas are flowing together well. Above is my Alice themed board and I also posted the board I put together for my wedding day here. I would encourage all brides/grooms or people planning a celebration to give it a go, you don't have to be creative or good with a computer, ideas that are collected from magazines and stuck onto a sheet of card work just as well as computer versions.

I will post the finished designs after the photo shoot has taken place. If you would like to find out more about Sarah Vivienne her facebook page is here and she also tweets here.

The images in the board are all comps from istockphoto

Top Ten Tips :: 4 - Allow plenty of time...

Ideally you should send your invitations out at least 3 months prior to your wedding. Your venue will require final guest numbers around 6 weeks before the wedding so set your rsvp date at around 8 weeks prior to your wedding, this will give you enough time to chase up any late replies.

Hen Night Survival Kit...

Last weekend I went to my sweet friend Nicola's Hen Party, it was a great weekend, full of fun and laughter!

I wanted to share with you the Hen Night Survival Kit that Kerith (one of Nicola's bridesmaids) made for everyone... We each got a little box covered in funny images of Nicola, inside there was some plasters, headache tablets, chewing gum, hair bobbles and minty floss. We also got a little card which listed everyones name and telephone number, the hotel details and info on the nearest underground stations. It had ribbon attached to the corner so we could tie it to our wrists or bags, just in case any of us got separated from the group. Lastly we had a little bag of goodies, some sweets and chocolates to nibble on and a party blower to make some extra noise... Great idea Kerith!

Top Ten Tips :: 3 - Order extras...

Its always a good idea to order a few extra invitations for last minute guests, changes or mistakes. Ten extra should be enough to avoid the panic when you realise you have run out, if you don't use them all then you can put them into your keepsake box with all your other little memories.

The more I see you
The more I want you
Somehow this feeling
Just grows and grows
With every sigh I become
More mad about you
More lost without you
And so it goes
Can you imagine
How much I love you
The more I see you
As years go by
I know the only one for me
Can only be you
My arms won’t free you
And my heart won’t try

Top Ten Tips :: 2 - Calculate by household...

When you calculate how many invitations you need, bear in mind that often you will only need to send one invitation per household / couple and then one invitation per individual, so you may be inviting 80 guests but you probably only need 50 invitations to cover everyone.
