Saying thank you...

Yesterday was our 1st Wedding Anniversary ~ and what a lovely 1st year we've had! So today I just wanted to share with you the thank you cards that I designed for our wedding. We decided upon an image of us that we thought all of our guests would like for the front but the special part was the text that we wrote and placed to the right of the photo...

we laughed
we cried
we kissed
we hugged
we ate
we drank
we danced
we loved...

we married

It truly summed up our day!

When I show our thank you card to my clients they always love the wording and ask if they can use the same ~ which makes me smile ~ some clients ask to change words or add words of their own, which is great as then it truly sums up their day!

To find out more about my range of thank you cards please feel free to drop me a line...

Lovely delphiniums & Friday5

Last Week, I read this post and saw these photos over on Miss Pickering's blog, amazing huh? Which is why I decided to pop over to Miss Pickering's shop in Stamford to see them for myself. I came away with a lovely great bunch, placed them in various containers, old milk bottles and such around my home and they have made me smile everyday! It was lovely to meet Miss Pickering, what a fantastic little shop and the hound is even sweeter in real life... If you haven't read her blog before then please do, its pretty and fun and I believe she may have some lovely photos to share soon of a wedding that took place just this weekend {I hope it went well!}... Some pics of how Delphinium Week looked for me...

I also spotted this whilst reading my latest issue of Country Living... I am sure you all know by now how much I love this little shop, its a great write up and I am so pleased for Tracey!

And last but not least, this weeks Friday5...

1} Spotty teapot or the I Heart NY cups?
2} Loving these natural shots, the party string image is fab!
3} Fifteen beautiful rings...
4} I don't think I've ever met a polka dot I didn't like!
5} A well thought out photo, filled with love.

First day back today...

... So playing catch up! One of the emails I received whilst I was away was informing me that the new Christian Louboutin Fall-Winter 2010-2011 collection is now available online! I love getting the CL emails, the ads are fabulous and this one I especially love. So just in case you haven't heard yet and fancy wearing some Louboutin's on your wedding day or a special occasion, pop over and take a look www.christianlouboutin.com

Its strange but the image reminds me of my travels to Vegas, what a CRAZY place! I had no idea what to expect and part of me kept thinking that it might be a little tacky but I am pleased to say I was SO wrong. The thought and design that is put into some of the buildings, bars, and nightclubs etc blew me away, I am hoping to collect some of these thoughts in the new designs that I will be working on over the next few weeks, I will keep you updated.

Please bear with me whilst I get back into the swing of things, there are lots of things swirling around in my head at the moment so posting might be quite sporadic!

Curiouser and curiouser :: Part 1

I have always loved the Alice in Wonderland story so when Sarah of Sarah Vivienne Photography approached me to see if I would be interested in coming up with some designs for an Alice themed shoot she was planning I literally jumped at the chance to take part!

I dropped the designs over to the beautiful Kelmarsh Hall on the morning of the shoot. Whilst there I got a behind the scenes glimpse at the magic that was taking place, flowers being arranged and cute little cupcakes being displayed on lovely vintage china... I left knowing that the final photos were going to be amazing and I couldn't wait to see them!

I am planning to tweak the designs a little, I want them to have more of a vintage feel and I want to include some hearts or spades in them somewhere! When they are done I will post an update but for now, as promised, here are some of the final images that Sarah sent over to me along with some close ups of the designs themselves.

On Thursday I will be sharing some of my favourite photos from the rest of the shoot so be sure to pop back, I promise you they are amazing!

My Friday...

A little while back I spotted that Lynne from Tea for Joy was planning to run a 'Blogging for Designers' course, I jumped at the chance to learn some new blogging tips and tricks and got myself signed up straight away.

So last Friday I set off down to London town to meet Lynne and the other like minded bloggers booked onto the course. It was a great day, I really enjoyed meeting everybody and discussing / learning more about their work and their blogs.

If you haven't already then pop over and check out Tea for Joy, I love the 'Tea of the week' posts!

Also on the course I met Julie from The Crafty Currant

Heather from Crafty Little Greetings

and Madeleine from Madeleine Boulesteix

I'm really looking forward to seeing how everyones blogs change over the next few months as we all implement the things we learn't from Lynne!

My first change... Well I have bought the name twentysevenyearslater.com now I just need to figure out how to change it over!

Top Ten Tips :: 10 - Be unique...

Make your wedding stationery unique, find a stationer who will work with you to produce a design/theme that is different and reflects you as a couple. Not only does your invitation give the relevant details about your day (who, where, when) but it offers guests an exciting sneaky peek into whats in store! Have fun, add special little touches (maybe a love quote or a story of how you got together) these are the little things that your guests will appreciate and remember. You are announcing one of the biggest days of your lives, your day, your stationery, your way... Do it in style!
