Curiouser and curiouser :: Part 2

So I showed you my handy work on Tuesday, Now its time to see Sarah's... I'll let the pictures do the talking!

I told you they were amazing didn't I!

Sarah's attention to detail and creativity with the props enabled her to capture the Alice feel perfectly in each photo. I think she would even have gone so far as to have a real life white rabbit if one had of been available!

Thanks again to Sarah for letting me be involved, I loved every minute!

I am working on some Alice in Wonderland themed stationery for a photo shoot that is taking place on Friday organised by Sarah of Sarah Vivienne Photography. When I start a new project more often than not I will put a mood board together to make sure all of my ideas are flowing together well. Above is my Alice themed board and I also posted the board I put together for my wedding day here. I would encourage all brides/grooms or people planning a celebration to give it a go, you don't have to be creative or good with a computer, ideas that are collected from magazines and stuck onto a sheet of card work just as well as computer versions.

Hen Night Survival Kit...

Last weekend I went to my sweet friend Nicola's Hen Party, it was a great weekend, full of fun and laughter!



I wanted to share with you the Hen Night Survival Kit that Kerith (one of Nicola's bridesmaids) made for everyone... We each got a little box covered in funny images of Nicola, inside there was some plasters, headache tablets, chewing gum, hair bobbles and minty floss. We also got a little card which listed everyones name and telephone number, the hotel details and info on the nearest underground stations. It had ribbon attached to the corner so we could tie it to our wrists or bags, just in case any of us got separated from the group. Lastly we had a little bag of goodies, some sweets and chocolates to nibble on and a party blower to make some extra noise... Great idea Kerith!

Time for tea...

Love this Alice in Wonderland themed tea cup and tag by Ellie of Home Shopping Spy that I found over at Tea For Joy! This would be great as a place card for an afternoon tea themed wedding... Its the little things...

...that count! How cute are these little lovelies that I found over on the Cox & Cox website?! My favourites are the name card baubles, they would work well for a wedding or intimate dinner party. One of my favourite things about living in a village is hearing the Church bells so when I heard our Church was in need of new ringers to stop the tradition from dying out I thought I would give it a go! My father used to do it when he was younger and it seems I may of taken after him with my love for the bells! Last weekend I got to ring for the first wedding of the year, its lovely to be in Church whilst two people say their vows to each other and then to ring the bells to spread their happy news! One snowy day...

To go along with the wintery weather we are currently having I have some beautiful wintery photos to share with you today. These photos were taken by Nigel Ord-Smith back in February 2009 when we had the heavy snowfall that made everything look oh so white and pretty!

Models Lisa and Robyn donned some lovely wedding dresses and braved the wintery conditions and with Rushton Hall providing the perfect backdrop I'm sure you will agree that the finished photos were well worth a few shivers. I especially love the photo of Lisa making a snow angel whilst wearing some pink wellies! This got me thinking that it would be fun to put my special dress back on to try something like this or along these lines and Nigel would be my first port of call to take the photos.

I have had the privilege of watching Nigel work, he is a fantastic photographer who has a natural ability to put people at ease - just the way you would want to feel on your wedding day! A few weeks ago I wrote about how my husband Ian and I decided upon a 'donations gratefully received towards our fireplace renovation' instead of a traditional gift list... I promised some 'after' pictures and I thought this one would be quite appropriate to share as its Christmas eve!

We used this image on our personal Christmas cards with the verse... Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful and as theres no place to go, let it snow! Let is snow! Let is snow!... We sent them to all of our guests so they could see what their 'money gift' was put towards.

What a way to make an entrance!...

This has to be the most unique, funny and memorable wedding entrance I have ever seen - I absolutely LOVE it! I have watched it a number of times now and it always makes me smile - the song is great too!
